I have a 96 Dodge Ram 3500 Club Cab LB Dually with the Cummins with only 60,000 miles and I am contemplating getting an 02 Ford F-350 CC LB Dually with the 7.3 with 126,000. The only reason I am contemplating getting the Ford is that the Crew Cab would make it easier to get the little one my wife just had in and out of the truck. But the 02 is 24,000 while I got the 96 for 12,000. Should I just stick with the 96 or go for the 02????

are the trucks four wheel drive or two? yes the ford has more interior room for the rear passengers, but if its only a child sitting in the back seat stay with the dodge. but if you are ready for a different truck then jump all over it, just have the ford looked over real well.....

Oh. Dodge is 2wd, Ford is 4wd and it is just a kid in the back. Unfortunately if I could I would own a different truck every time I see one I like, which wouldn't be good for the finainces. But no the only reason I was looking at it was for the extra space for the baby. And thanks for the quick reply.

If you could use the 4wd, then I would say go for it.

Otherwise, small children don't need much room and the Dodge should be fine.

if you can swing it jump all over the ford. me personally i prefer the cummins but the 7.3 is a good engine. i also think having fourwheel drive in a diesel is a good idea, so get it checked out and buy it......

Ya the ford seems like a good idea. Seems like you could also get a good deal for the dodge too.

Well I have decided to stick with the 96 Dodge. For one the wife says it was not worth it and they won't come down on the price, the were two different tire types on it, it wasn't in the best condition, and it had an odd sound when running. My dad has a 96 and uncle has a 99 with the 7.3 and the 02 I looked at had an odd sound that did not sound like either my dad's or uncle's truck. Plus I am trying to get into a house and that might squash that. Maybe I can find an 03 or new quad cab long bed dually dodge once I move for the right price. Thank you for all the advise, it was much appreciated, although it really came down to what the wife thought. Now I just need to turn up the power on my dodge to make me feel good.
