well the 2005 is obviously newer. The only problem with getting a new vehicle is that you basically have to start over with accesories on your vehicle. Your 2000 looks like its got quite alot of stuff done to it. I still think that the 2005 is better.

O cool. I sure do like that headache rack on your old truck though.

i like the 05 just because it's newer... more power and whatnot

financially speaking... i would say that it is always better drive a car as long as you can just because cars depreciate so quickly. meaning once you spend money on a truck it is best to drive it as far as you can so that you can "get your money's worth" out of the thing.

Well, it completely depends on options and what you want in a vehicle.

Me personally, I would have kept "A" 2000 if it was optioned correctly, over a current model.

I think that the 24v motor is the flagship sound of a Cummins, not what the Common Rail sounds like, so the fact that the newer engine is so quiet really turns me off from them.

I love the way a 2nd gen sport looks, with full billet and what not, better than the new front ends.

Lastly, I really like the black leather in the 2nd gens that isn't available in a 3rd gen.

For these reasons, I still have my '01 and have no intentions on passing it to someone else anytime soon. Now granted, if I had say a 2nd gen that was white, tan cloth interior, and a non sport SLT front end.....I'd trade it off in a heartbeat for a completely loaded Megacab with Nav, sweade/leather interior, sport, etc....
