My engine is basically stock too. No boxes, although I did play with a Quad STD for a few months, have it off now. I was looking for a little better fuel economy, but it really did not make any signifigant difference. I did some intake stuff - Cool Blue Hose, TAG, Cool Power Hose Mod to the stock air box and have the Amsoil nano filter. I just got the GDP Intake, have to get it on. Also just got the Genos Muffler Elimination pipe, have to put it on. Maybe a SS tip, that's pretty much it for the engine/exhaust stuff.

I did add the KORE HD Leveling kit, Billstein shocks to the rear, BFG 35's on H2 wheels, Firestone Ride Rites, but that's it for the suspension/traction department.

Other misc stuff to make it mine.

I just got my '04 Ram CTD and have only driven 100+ miles but I'm happily surprised so far. I will be adding to it but I would be happy if I had to stay stock.

I am currently on my longest streak of problem free miles, and everyone of them has been with all of my mods.

    Sad Sad Sad

Mines stock for now but id like to try out the Banks Big Hoss Bundle. Ive got a lot of stuff i want to put on it but i know the fuel econ. would go out the window. Just looking at different web sites ive already spent $30,000 in my imagination. It's really sad

Rather than window shop, you should seek advice from those in the know. For better mileage there are many options. Banks is not one of my first choices, on a cost basis they are out of the market. Mileage is a very tough thing to sell, as the driver has more to do with the increase than anything else.

Well thats most of the reason why i wanted to get on this site. So maybe i could talk to somebody who's already been around this block. And maybe i wont have to go through spending a whole lot of money on a system that isnt going to work for me. Of course im like everyone else. I want all the power and all of the fuel economy at the same time but i know thats just not gonna happen like i want it to. Im just really not sure where to start with all the mods that are available now. Everyone's stuff is always better than the rest because they say so kinda thing.

I have had 3 diesel trucks, the first one I had a chip on it and had problems twice. I needed more towing power so that is why I had the chip and it did add the power! The only problem was I couldn't keep my foot out of it so the gas savings never showed up:)
The truck I have now has 360 hp and 650 pounds of tourque stock, I pull a 12000 lb camper, and landscaping trailers every day in my work. I have no problems pulling any of them with the stock truck. Now on the other hand if you are one of these people that likes to smoke roll a mustang in a quarter mile then you may want to look at mods but, that ain't my thing anymore. It tends to never be enough power once you go that routerotfl
Good luck whichever way you go.

My truck was stock for a whole 4 days. On the fith there was a straight pipe and on the seventh was a custom tune./
