Finished getting rid of all the badges, looks pretty clean now, also got rid of the chrome grille and added a factory black one. I will post pics
Used a blow dryer to heat it up, then gently pryed them off with a screwdriver (there is room for the screwdriver do to the glue) then used goop off for the glue followed by a rubbing compund.
debadging use fishing line to saw them off and then 3m adhesive remover to get off the sticky stuff no scratches at all
did any of you guy have a problem with the left side heavy duty 2500 badge? my buddy took off his badge on the left side and under it there was about a 1 inch by 1 inch patch that the paint was a lighter color then the rest of the truck. his truck i the light silver color and the patch almost looks like they forgot to clear the paint there or it is the color of the primer on the truck.
I pulled mine off to find the previous owner didn''t know how to remove the badges without scratching the paint and put them back on.
my badges have been of for over 18 months now and you can still slightly se where they were. a good buff job will cure this, but im cheap... lol
looks good even though i personally am not a fan of de-badged vehicles, but driving around of when parked somewhere without atleast some "C"'s on there? gotta let everyone know whats under the hood of that thing. looks great tho with that black grill.
the "C" is the only badges i left on, but once i get fender flares they will have to come off... like steve said though, one look at my stacks and ya dont have to ask... lol
