I use Amsoil in Everything from my vehicle to my Generator and even my lawnmower. Great oil, tough, and my trucks run better with it. I have been using teh stuff for about 7 years now. Real hard to ruin it. Also, the ATF is almost impossible to burn. Great stuff!

My honey is an AMS Oil distributor so that is what we use in everything from his tow rig to my DD to the ATV to the weedwacker.

    Quantum Blue!

Because oil specifications are changing, and not for the better. ( thanks EPA )

Because common PAO / Ester 'synthetic' basestocks have performance limitations.

Because the term 'synthetic' has devolved into a marketing term ( thanks castrol ), and isn't an indicator of a high performance oil.

Because cheap oil is..well.. cheap.. and you get what you pay for.

i use Amsoil in everything, especially my 6.0L little expensive up front for the oil and filter, but worth it in the long run. In my opinion anyway

Don't assume that. They may be using the Motorcraft filters, and the cheapest version of that available, but they are not using the best oil available. Remember that the dealer's service department is there to make MONEY. Warranty doesn't pay. They buy oil in bulk from a local supplier and its whatever costs them the least, more for the profits.

I would prefer to use motorcraft. But you can never find it. So I use shell, a known good oil and readily available.

I use Schaeffer's 15w-40 synthetic blend. The fuel mileage in my last diesel went from 18mpg highway to 21 mpg highway. I like my trucks and my motor oil, super slick !!!!
