So I am at a stop light and look over and see a newer Vette to my left, think hmmm, I pull away normal and he does the same, I go a tad faster, he does the same, so I say to myself, HIT IT! I am already doing about 30 when I hit it so I didn't have to worry about the turbo spooling up etc. With my window down I can hear him really getting on it scratching the tires with every shift as he is just a little behind me, when I realize he is not pulling away, his Vette sounded real good by the way. Once he hits fifth gear I believe then he smokes me pretty good. I know I had a slight advantage because I hit it first but trust me he knew it was coming I just couldn't believe I hung with him for as long as I did, this time next year I take a car like that hands down. imp:
Sounds good. I did the same thing to one back in Feb. He was not to happy that he couldn't stay with a big-0-truck.
This time next year eh........ lol maybe by this time next year i can get my dad to buy a vette and you can race him lol
I had the opportunity to run with a vette as well. Although I could not be sure of the year it was a vette with the fixed lights in the front. I know this because that is all that I saw of him in my rearview mirror. He, he. I was running an 04' with all the bells and whistles. Dynoed 512 hp and 1030 tq. It sure is fun watching others choke on diesel exhaust.
i had some tuner punk try to race me the other day, i got and kept the lead he finally backed off when my tail pipe was right at his window doing about 3,000RPM for about 10 seconds with the the 3 1/2 strait pipe
base corvette in 2005 was 400hp and had a curb weight of 3245lb, standing quarter mile time of 12.5 seconds.
