i have a realtively stock 2500, 05 with the 48re w/410s. im throwing 35s and a quad xzt on her this weekend. i talked to a tech at quad and he said gauges werent need unless i was towing and doing hillclimbs everyday. im not doing either. i daily drive her 40+ a day and baby the hell out of her on the highway. she also has an intake and exhaust... any need for gauges at the moment or could i hold off for alittle while?

i agree 100%. every truck i buy from now on will have one 1st thing. makes me real curious on what sort of temps i was running a few years ago heading through the mountains with a trailer ramping up speed for every hill to limit downshifts. a stock truck run some pretty heigh tempsafter a short amount of WOT.

Gauges are cheap compared to motors and tranmissions.
