Load your g/n with about 14,000 lbs of oilfield equipment and go down I10 between Lake Charles and the 44 yard stick, or maybe jennings ranch road, or jarachinas road, or I20 east of Shreveport.....than ask why.

Better yet, make the drive from Jackson, Ms. to I12 above New Orleans on I55. It's like riding a bucking bronco for 100 miles.:doah:

Well I don't have that setup for a gooseneck but I do have this for my 5th wheel.

And I gotta say I really, really like it a lot. I have been totally impressed with the way my truck rides with the extra cushion and I will buy another one if something ever happens to this one.

    Just thought I would share...

What size hitch did you get? If you don't mind what did you pay? How much pin weight do you have with you trailer? I have been looking at air hitches and you are the first person I have came across that has one. Thanks

I got the 25k hitch with the Holland Brinkley head that is shown. I actually bought it used off a guy that had only had it just over a year. My pin weight was around 3,000lbs but that had water in the tanks and no clothes in the bed room. It was a great tow though. I have only been able to tow around 150 miles so far but I will be taking a trip to Dallas at the end of Feb. or early March so I will know more. That is about a 650 mile trip one way so I can give a better review.

I paid $1200 used but the manufacturer wanted $2,867 shipped to the door with all the bells and whistles including the locks. The locks and the cover would be real nice. I am going to have to purchase those separately.

it is rated to a 5,000lb pin weight so I am sure it can handle whatever I throw at it. I have a 38ft toy hauler and it is a load in itself so I am real glad that I got the air hitch.

edit: he only sold it because he couldn't get his wife to tow the camper. He sold truck, trailer and hitch and got a motorhome.

Here is one installed. Stopped by the factory in SD and paid $2,100. I use it with a Demco Glide Ride pin box. Great combination. Much better than the TrailAir pin box and a solid 5th.

yep... that's it. Mine is gray in stead of black though. Earlier model. I am using a solid pinbox though.
