Before you guys go out and purchase an aftermarket 4" or 5" cat back system get a load of this. We straight piped my new 07.5 today and it has made maybe 1% difference in (in cab) noise. Factory muffler is already straight through.

Not so far. I have noticed that the cat & DPF are two units. On the chassis cab models it is all one unit.

What does the exhaust sound like outside? Does it have any kind of signature strait pipe Cummins sound when accelerating?

How loud is it.... scale 1 to 10, 1 being a stocker and 10 being a strait piped 5" 12v.

NO WAY.. It is very quiet. The motor from inside the cab actually sounds like a big block gas with 4 tube headers with a loud radiator fan.

For the guys that like the first generation clatter and really loud exhaust  You will not get it with the 6.7L.

was the delete pipe from genos garage?? just did mine over the weekend and like you said not much of a difference....but the problem is, it does not line up the rear factory hangers very well at all....the rear section has fallen of twice since yesterday it just wont line up with the rear hangers.....genos said it was a factory fit....well its not. i am gonna have to go to a muffler shop and have the guys weld some new hangers or cut 1-2 inches off the delete pipe to make everyhing aling properly. i should have coffed up some real $$$ and bought a 5 in dpf back system knowing it would work with basic hand tools in the driveway....well any info would help, thanks....

Whats the point of putting 5 " exhaust on? You still have the DPF. That helps you in no way. Biggest waste of money.

Sorry just dont believe it. It cant, you dont have anymore flow than before...its still 4 inch from the turbo into a big crappy DPF! just dont buy it. Now if you cut that DPF....

There is a report in one of the diesel mags about the less constriction of mandral bends and factory bends. The factory tailpipe adds even more restriction to the entire system. My egt gauge has proved the difference. Just tell me how much you tow heavy? Factory pipe has less bends.

I keep forgetting about the factory bends. I guess that should help a bit. But a new 4 inch aftermarket would to the trick.

The most ive towed with this truck was about 14-16k Not very often. 8+ is pretty usual.

it happens....good luck with yours, but if you have problems fight them back until they fix it right then pursue lemon law only if you have too....my next dodge will be a older 24v or 06-07 5.9 sometime in the future. driving a gasser z-71 for now.....

Sorry to hear about your truck i am keeping my fingers crossed that nothing happens. I switched from being a fairly dedicated Ford guy to a Dodge owner....been happy so far, my truck and the wife's having both being holding up good ( 43,500 on mine - 37,850 on wife's) both are still all stock other then the gooseneck/brake controller in mine.

So far everyone has been happy with this in front of their MBRP 4" exhaust (of course this was only for testing purposes).
