I dropped my tank and installed the draw straw tonight. I will run the fuel line and put the new pump on the frame tomorrow but I have a question. Since I'm having problems with my stock lift pump should I just bypass it and go to the filter? Any help would be appreciated.

You're installing an aftermarket lift pump? If so, yes I would bypass the stock lift pump.
