Hey guys and girls, Ive decided its time to buy a cummins. Ive had 7.3 powerstroke for the past two years and I love the dodge cummins. All my friends have one and I am always incredibly jelous. I know the basics about them but I dont know whether to get a second gen or third gen. Ive heard horror stories about both. It will be my everyday drive so comfort is an issue(steering, ride, brakes etc). Id appreaciate any input. I am finding some great deals on 2nd gen with only eighty thousand miles for around 14,000 but it seems like the third gens are more expensive with more miles on them. Thanks for the help

Greetings, I dont know if this will be much help. If you havent bought one yet, try looking into bank repo's. I bought a 2006 quadcab, auto, cummins, for only 18k with only a hair over 21,000 miles on it about a year and a half ago. "Right place, right time." This is my first Dodge. 33k on it now with no issues so far. No experience with 2nd gen. Only nightmares with Powerstroke. IMHO, 80k miles is just broken in. Good Luck! waytogo
