Ok, I just bought an '05 F250 crew cab w/ auto tranny and 85k mi. The motor is stock besides a large unknown brand exhaust and no cat.
Test drove great and has good power. Averaged 17 mpg on the ride home.
Tonight it started blowing some white ish smoke when idling. Does not seem to be blowing at throttle. (Just when first taking off)
Checked coolant and oil and both look ok- (oil is dirty)
Supposedly the EGR cooler was replaced 10k mi ago.

Any ideas what this would be? EGR cooler again?

    Thanks

Could be a fueling issue as well. What does the exhaust smell like??

White smoke in a diesel is unburnt fuel.
