Hello y'all! While I am not new to the towing/driving world, I have never owned a diesel pickup. My wife and I just bought and moved into a 37' Montana 5th wheel trailer. The plan is to live in it for about two years and then buy some land, build a 40x60 shop, then build a house. The overall time-frame will be about four to five years. In the mean time, we do not own a haul rig. I have been leaning toward a crew cab dually 4x4 Chevy. I have ridden in each of the big three and find the Chevy to be the most comfortable. The problem is that I don't know what to look for as far as engine and trans combos. Thus the reason I am here. I will be lurking for a bit and will ask questions as I go. Cheers!

    Brian

    New too

Hello , I have been driving semi's for over 30 years but I retired in 09. I have always owned chevys but I bought my Dodge four weeks ago. I have had great success with cummins in the commercial world so I thought I would get another one. I tow a 6500 pound RV about seven times a year otherwise I just drive it around. I have never joined a forum so I thought I would try it out, I figure it might help me stay on top of things better. I'm not looking to hot rod it up, just keep it dependable. It's a 07 with the 5.9 and it has 60k on it. Thanks for letting me ramble on.l

    Enjoy your truck
You have the last good model
My son has had the 6.7L 2007 and was nothing but warranty issues so he traded on a new 2011 with same issues with the PDF. Last talk was the dealer was going to get rid of of the PDF.
Of course he is in Canada.
