    hi everyone,
newbie here. i just bought a '96 dodge ram 2500 12 valve turbodiesel with 183K miles.
apparently, the oil pressure and gas guages don't work. at times when idling especially, the oil pressure indicator will go up to about mid-point then back to zero right away. the fuel guage on the other doesn't work at all.
i checked the fuse box and the fuses all seem to be fine. could it be the oil and fuel sending units or..?
any advice will highly be appreciated. thank you!

Fuel level sending units are common problems on these trucks. About $50 from the dealer. DO NOT LET THEM SELL YOU A COMPLETE TANK MODULE!!!!!! They will tell you the replacement is $500+ and its not. You only need the level indication sender.
Oil pressure, probably the sender, you need a special socket from the local auto parts store to pull it, its cheap. Then the sender is like $60. If that doesn't fix it then the stepper motors in the cluster are bad, had to replace a few of those. Not a bad job to do if you have a couple extra clusters laying around to rob parts from.
