Can I hot shot a 40' gooseneck trailer with 20,000 lbs with my 3/4 ton Duramax diesel

    Ive got a '05 2500 Silverado with the Duramax. It is only a 3/4 ton, but will it be adequate enough to pull my 40' gooseneck flatbed with loads ranging from 10,000 to 20,000 lbs?

    I pulled 18K with the Ram 2500 I used to have many times and that really pushed the limit of what the rear tires could handle. Air bags are a must. Just your trailer alone could be 10K. I would think Weights and Measures would pull you over on a regular basis to look closer if you have much of a load.

    Hey Denton it's been over 3 years since you started this thread. Did you ever haul that load and if so how was the drive?

    Hey, I sure did. It did good, but upgrading to a dually was the right thing to do.
