We went on a trail ride with a few members of our club and pulled the K10 down 100 miles of rolling hills, then 20 more miles of gravel road & forest service road into the mountains (and back). The Cummins is simply a monster! I could have pulled at 80 if I wanted. I just set the cruise for 67, turned on Tow Haul and watched the scenery. It downshifted from O/D 3 times each direction on the bigger hills, but never missed a beat and never slowed down below 65. Hills the '98 would have to slow down to 55mph/2nd gear for the Cummins pulled in O/D without breaking a sweat. Hills the '98 would have slowed down to 30mph/1st gear for the Cummins pulled in Direct at 65mph.

heck yah!!! Just took mine on its first real trip... from Ocala to Tampa with a empty 7k lb trailer, then to Orlando from Tampa with a 94 Thunderbird on the front of the trailer, then from Orlando to Ocala with two more cars, for a total of three on the trailer. In a hurry, we ran 70-80mph the whole time...burned up a tank of diesel in 345 miles...not bad for the work out...6th gear works great on the flat florida interstates
