Hello all I have Seen a 06 / 07 Dodge pull a toyhauler that was right at the 38 foot mark. Had three axles on the trailer and was having no problems moving it in to there campsite. My question is how is this possible, the truck was a 3500 Auto with the 5.9 liter Single axle in the rear with about a 3-4 inch lift (truck and trailer looked awesome together) My concern is i was figuring the trailer was maybe fully loaded must of been heavy. Can anyone put any insite to how he did it with out breaking anything? Thanks for the information Ron
The trailer probably weighs around 15-17K or so completely loaded. Thats not that heavy really for that pickup.
I saw a 06 or so Dodge today wit ha 48 ft trailer and a fuel trailer on back that look liked it had been rolled so that shouldnt be an issue.
I just had a customer in here last week with a 2006 Megacab single wheel pulling a 40ft toyhauler. He had 17K on it when I did a Suncoast VB, muffler replacement, and Amsoil conversion bumper to bumper with Amsoil BMK11 Bypass filter. The trailer wieghed about 15k. The big thing to keeping em together is driving sanely and keeping up on maintenance. Using quality service parts helps alot. Also, with the VB, the trans is in much better condition for heavy pulling.
