I'm hearing of boost pressures of up to 35 psi in stock 06 ctd. I can't seem to see over 28 before the wastegate dumps. What should I see? Pulling 24ft toyhauler approx. 10000lbs at 500 ft. Truck is stock except for straight through muffler. Hopefully some of you are still running your trucks stock ----at least for now. Planning some upgrades but I want to make sure every thing is good to go before adding anything else.

I was never able to check my boost when the truck was stock because i had no gauge. My Attitude monitor said that it got up to 34-35 with the chip in position "0" (stock) but I also had an intake and a flowmaster.

Stock sustained is 32psi according to the ECM. Spikes higher than that are common.

Any ideas on what could cause low boost numbers? I checked all my hose clamps and found none loose. Same load and same road I did see 30psi for a second before it dropped down to 28 again. Truck sure runs good, though. I hope it's something minor. Any advice would be much appreciated.

Try loading it down, hooked to a trailer or something. I bet you get more boost. The 6 speed's gears are so well spaced and 6th is a joke, so it can be hard to really work the motor.

That was loaded and the pedal floored in both 4th and 5th. Exhaust temps stayed right at 1000 (post turbo).
