I've got a chance to buy a 04 1 ton single rear wheel but I would rather have a dually to haul with. Any one know if there are any other differences in the 1 tons other than the axle itself? Brakes? Mastercyl...driveshaft???

Far as I know everything should be the same besides rear hubs. The biggest difference would make would be if it's a manual vs. auto. Both have different parts.

you need the rear axle assembly and if you want to only have one spare... the frotn hubs. other than that, if its a long bed you can get the bedsides, short box... well im working with a couple people to make me some molds so i can start building a glass bedside, but it might be a couple years. flat bed is the next option. everything else is the same. on TDR a bunch of people are going the opposite way and more than willing to swap out hubs, wheels, tires, and rear axle. from what i was TOLD the hubs are same for the front on 2wd and 4wd. then ya just have to make sure the axle ratio is the same.
