The 96 12V I have is getting 370 injectors, marine pistons, fire ring'd block, 4gsk, 191 DVs, #10 plate, BD Super B turbo, ATS manifold and 5" exhaust. Should make a few ponies when its all said and done. How do you like that BD turbo? How does it spool, and what kind of temps do you see?

love the super B but I think you just do it right and use both of them. It spools pretty quick but nothing like my B2 on the 2004.5. Temp wise it will still get hot (nothing non managable) but we are also running 37's w/3.55 gearing. We do this for towing in AZ, NV, and Ut. We need/like to be able to tow 75-90mph when we are going to different 4x4 events.

Switching to 4.10s would probably give you increased towing performance while retaining a decent top speed without screaming the motor, at least with those 37's. I will eventually run the BD twin setup, but with the costs I already have in the conversion and rebuild of the 6bt, not to mention the BOMBs, I am gonna wait for a while before I slap the twin on. It'll get there eventually though. :D

Increased towing performance? I am already having to back out of it to make the corners on the passes. Most people don't understand that with a 12valve you have such a short power band that you need all the gearing you can get to be able to use it. We did have 4.10's and switched to 3.55's. Looking forward to your install.

Ah, I misread your last post, and thought you were looking for solutions to get increased towing performance. Im just waiting for my marine pistons to get here, shipped from Piers, and I can finally start gettin this thing back together. It'll be nice to say goodbye to the PowerJoke.
