The truck idles fine but if you start to move it is like there is no more fuel than at idle no matter how much throttle there is. I drove 15 mile like this and it cut in and out and the turbo only boosted once. I think it could be a vp44 problem or a sensor. I also have the fass system and it is reading the same fuel pressure as normal. What else could it be. TIA

Sounds like either an internal failure on the VP44, or more likely is just in limp mode over something else.

Go and get your codes scanned, that should deliver your answer.

    No codes?

I would say either a dead APPS or VP44 is heading south in a hurry.

The check engine light didn't come on. But when I started it up and moved it there was blue smoke. I have never seen blue smoke come out of my truck. Thanks for the replies. I just would think that the vp44 would just go south without any warnings.

You need to get the ECM scanned to get the codes, I'm sure it's triggered at least one.

And... VP44's normally DON'T just stop at once. Most of the time they give warning of dead pedal, a code, or at least a loss in power, hard starting... usually something gives a decent hint that it's time to look for a new pump soon.
