Well guys, the 2nd gen that i wanted to buy sold, so i dont know what to do. I am deciding on whether or not to sell my 1st gen, and just drive the chevy. I just can not justify selling a truck that can get 22mpg to drive something that gets 8mpg. I know that the dodge is only a 2wd, but i figured i could have fun and make it into a street truck. How fast can these trucks be made to run, i would love to get it around 350 hp and 800 ft lbs of torque, that i could still have a reliable daily driver, and be able to tow my 4x4 on a trailer, as well as smoke ricers around town. What do you think?

Having a rig that pushes lots of fuel and is fast and then straping it to a trailer can be a hard to find mix sometimes.

Be prepared to upgrade turbo and air system components to keep it from melting down.

You can make 350hp fairly easily, and still be reliable. A good turbo, some injectors(like DDP stage 3 or 4), a gov spring, and a few tweaks here & there.

Ok, well i have started some mods. So far, i have turned the starwheel 1 turn from maxed out, 2 turns on the smoke screw and about a 1/2 turn on the full power screw, only because i still have to remove the lock collar on it. I also installed a boost gauge. im making about 22 lbs of boost.

Next, im going to get a pyro, then 2 turns on the full power screw, a 3200 spring, fuel pin, bhaf, some POD injectors, 4" downpipe, a 14 cm wastegated turbo housing, and a few other things. it should be pretty quick.
