when left sitting over night it's hard to start then misses real bad, then smoothes out after a few seconds but still has a slight miss for 20-30 min. as it bleeds the rest of the air out
TTT I was about to post the same question. I also have an '02 PSD and having the same issue at startup. It usally sits there for a minute or two rolling white smoke and sounding like crap before it evens itself out. Once it's going it's fine until you park it for a couple of hours and then it does it again. It's not throwing any codes or lights on. I'm lost with it. tp
Could be a couple of problems. For starters and the easiest, there's a check valve on the left side (drivers side) of the fuel filter canister where the suction line connects. It could be stuck open, letting the fuel in the suction line flow back towards the tank. Second, could be a stuck injector letting the fuel bleed off. Third, could be low compression on a cylinder. I have seen 7.3's with 325 psi on one cylinder and 50 psi in another. Hope this helps
