The engine size is fairly important. Find this out and report back. IIRC, both the venerable 7.3/4R100 and the current 6.0/Torqueshift combo was available in 2003. Some guys had trouble with the new 6.0 engine but I wouldn't be afraid of one. It's probably seen updates if there was a problem with it.

BOth engines are great and the 7.3 is known for it's reliability and better fuel mileage but the new 6.0 engine is faster but a little harder on fuel. The 5spd Torqueshift is a lot nicer setup than the 4R100 4spd found behind the 7.3 engine.

That seems like a good price if it's loaded and 4wd.

As far as the gooseneck hookup. What do you mean by a gooseneck hole? Is it a hide away ball? Or is there an actuall hole there? If it's an actuall hole than there was a gooseneck hitch in it but was probably removed and installed in the PO's new truck. :doah: If it does have a nice hide away ball then thats worth 300-400 bucks, plus it's already installed.
