I think it would look cool if it had the normal huge fenders that the Ram duallys are famous for. Heck, over at CK5, when ever a short bed dually thread would come up tons of people love them and wish they could find them, since they are so rare. I think it's cool, but only if they offer a long bed version too.

Call me (and lots of other 5th wheel pullers) when they build a long-bed dually with some gutsy GVWR and GCWR ratings.

most goosenecks work fine with a short bed since the toung is tapered, not square like an RV. Fifth wheels can get slider hitches. Short beds can work for a lot of people and it saved dodge from building a new frame this year. The problem is the low GVWR, especially for a dually. 10500 is what I've heard. Not for me though... I'm waiting for the 4500 Megacab 8'bed  it will be here soon, right?.

Well, looks like I'll be holding onto my '02 Chevy quite a while longer... :D Silly Dodge is right! Good luck putting a 5th wheel, or even a Goose behind that! :doah: I guess a goose would work, but it's just sad to see a bed that short on a hauler...

I think they are really stuck with the Mega Cab now, the bed is to short for a lot of people and make it an 8 foot bed and it becomes a train. :doah:

Ditto, my '01 is still looking good to me after seeing everything go down hill since. All this quiet diesel garbage, goofy cabs/beds, and even thinner sheet metal. :stir:
They haven't done all bad things, the new interior is a lot nicer, nicer than all previous models and to me, nicer than the other two.
I would say it's not just Dodge that is going goofy, GM with it's fugly front clip and a new body style on the horizon that isn't any better, if not worse.

Ford seems to be the only one out there at least holding their one. I frown on replacing the 7.3 with the 6.0 engine. I still don't get that. I could see the displacement loss for fuel mileage, but the 7.3's are getting better mileage than the new 6's...! I like the front coil suspension and grille upgrade.

I test drove the new mega cab in a srw. It drove really nice, but.... i was a little disappointed that they keep making that engine quieter, some like it that way, but i like to know im in a diesel, of course i dont want it rediciously loud.

That cab is HUGE!!!! Leg room for days and i think, not sure thou, the rear bench seats convert to a bed. They didnt have any duallys there. the only draw back i see is that darn 6' bed. The cab and hood ar longer than the bed making it look a little awkward. And I tyhink that the headkights from the 03' should heave been on it. Those newer lights make them look kinda cheap, almost like a big buick rendevous

But overall its cools, just needs an 8' bed, especially in a dually

btw, they seem to all be using thinner sheet metal, my truck is pretty thin in the skin too

That looks ridiculous, a bed that short does not belong on a dually. That thing's for dudes that want a big boy truck but still want to be able to park right in front of Starbucks when they just HAVE to have their morning frufruchino in a hurry. Chevy and Ford shortbeds are too short for a full size 4 door truck IMHO, that thing is like another 6" shorter, and with a longer cab. Again I say, it looks ridiculous.
