Its amazing how fast standard and optional wheel sizes have increased in the past 8-10 years. I think 17s are plenty big. That being said, I run 19.5s on my truck, and ran 20s before......these were however, NOT the "bling-bling" kind.

I think it looks dumb. Anyrhing over a 17" rim is a waste IMHO, besides a 19.5" because you can get commercial tires for that size.

LOL, this coming from the guy who likes really wide rims and ballooning tires? With all the grief you get/got for your choice of wheels, I would think you would be more accommodating of other "looks over function" choices. Don'g get me wrong, nothing wrong with opinions and I respect you in particular for being willing to both have and support non-mainstream opinions (in some areas anyway), I just think it's funny in this case. :D

In any case, I totally agree and can't stand seeing those "dubs" with 2" rubber around them, especially the ones with big open holes and long spokes like real wagon wheels. But the OTR tires, particularly on a dually, are a different matter as long as you don't get carried away. I've seen tow rigs by all the "big 3" set up with 19.5s and the like combined with OTR rubber and very little if any lift, maybe 2" or so depending on the truck, and they looked absolutely sweet.

For one, no one here has 20" rims on their Ford so there is no one to offend, unlike the crap on CK5. If there was someone with those rims than I would have been more polite about my response.

For one, my blazer is a toy, it doesn't need a huge amount of function because it's a play thing. We are talking about rims that come factory on a truck that is designed for work. 20's are not needed for work. 16.5x14's on my blazer look great but if I planned on working the K5 everyday towing goosenecks, than a "for fun" rim like that would not have been chosen by me.

I like the 19.5" on the 450-550 trucks, infact a fully loaded 550 will probably be my next truck. The 19.5's make perfect sense, getting HD tires that last forever is really nice.

Oh and Russ, I hate ballooned out tires, thats why I run wide rims and not a 15x8 on a 44x18.5" bogger. :D
