Riddle me this Batman...I had factory 4 inch exhaust with muffler removed and my truck idled with my pyro reading around 200 degrees. Now I have 5 inch straight pipe from turbo back (no cat, no muffler) and it idles at around 300 degrees. Makes no sense to me. So basically I paid $700 for something louder?:mad::mad:

Not exactly. You are not worried about EGTs at idle. Wind it up to 2800rpms pulling a load. What difference then?

Ill have to wait until i get hooked up to a trailer again to test that one. Putting on a new gooseneck hitch tomorrow so may be a couple days before I have to pull anything. I mean idling or not all around you would think the EGTs would be cooler.
