6.2 military blazer

    my buddies thinking of buying an old military blazer. hes wondering, how much tweeking he can do to it? to make as much power as possible with no spending limit and without swaping motors. i know u can do stuff to the injector pumps but what else can u do?

    Not much, no turbo and weak heads (tend to crack). You could add a turbo from a 6.5, but you really need to pull the heads and rebuild them. Change the pre-chambers in the heads and upgrade the head gaskets (felpro). Of course your also looking at new head bolts ($65 each head), torq to yeild bolts. If you don't replace the head bolts, its a matter of time before you blow a head gasket. :doah: Then you will need to upgrade to a 98' water pump and dual thermostats to keep it cool. :cool:

    * I had a 92 chevy pickup with a 6.5td and with all the mods I did, wasn't happy with the power level. So now I have a ctd. waytogo

    yea hes thinking about doing the banks turbo kit. thanks for the tip with the head i didnt know that.
