What should be looked for on 92-98? 6.5l trucks??? Problems with the automatics and manuals??? Have a few in mind that I may look at if I can sell my '85 C30 and my car.

you should be looking for my exact truck!!:pimp: The trannys are good on the chevys. My 4L80E works great with 130k on it. solid shifts and when I had the oil changed in it when the T-case was rebuilt the tranny guy said that the Valve Body looked spotless especially considering the age. The manual trannys are the venerable NV4500 which is near bulletproof. the 6.5s have a few quirks like any truck but most of them are easily fixed...i.e. PMD needs a relocator. Pre-97s like to overheat (97'-up have an upgraded cooling system). The OPS and the Fuel Shut off solonoid also like to quit at this age but they are also minor things that are easy to fix.

Dont need it anymore. I drive 100+mi a day for work hauling only tools so having a big truck like that isnt neccesary. And I also havent towed my jeep since I moved it here from CA so Im really only paying for a driveway ornament right now. I need to sell it and pay off some bills and then buy another one. I am sad to see it go as I really love the truck and it has been good to me but it is just the best idea for the time being:dunno:
