We headed out for West Yellowstone this year for our Annual out of state snowmobile trip with the "crew."

Here is the rigs at Jackpot, Nevada

Here is all the rigs lined up at an Idaho rest stop just out of Twin Falls. From right to left, us in the '02 Ram, an '06 LBZ Dmax, A '73 Chevy Docmobile (don't ask), '03 Ford 6.0, '01 Ford 7.3, and an '03 Ford 6.0. All of us but the last ford are pulling 4 place enclosed sled trailers ranging from 25' to 27'.

My dad is running 65HP Mach 1 injectors and a Green performance filter.

We probably had the heaviest trailer as ours was the longest at 27' and had all four sleds inside. The LBZ Dmax could not outrun us nor could we outrun him, both were pulling even the steepest grades at 70mph+.

The Fords didn't impress me much. The 7.3 truck that was actually only pulling a 2 place enclosed trailer was only getting about 10mpg and probably weighed around 10K GCWR.

We managed 13mpg and were probably right around at 14K GCWR. The LBZ was right there too, maybe 500lbs lighter.

The funny part was when we would pass the black chevy RV abortion going up the hill and he would pass us coming back down so he could stay with the group, it's got a 350.

Did you get close to Cooke? I have practically lived up there every weekend. Look like west, sleds parks like cars would normally.

Let me know what model, engine size, and track length they are if you could find out. (if you want to of course). I could give you an idea if I think they would work well for you and what they are worth. They could either by '02's or '03's depending if he is counting 2006 or not. Both those years used the Edge chassis and I don't think they varied a whole lot between the years, depending if the '03 was a snow checked Vertical Escape, which is best Edge model they made. But, I would imagine he would be riding a lot if he had dropped the cash for an '03 Escape.

One thing about sleds is they don't hold their value the first few years it seems. Thanks to the manufacturers coming with something new every season ( which is dumb) it basically ruins the resale on 3-4 year old sleds because people see them as "oudated" compared to that years brand new model.
