Just ordered an AIR DOG system for my '03. The stock lift pump seems to very weak at 140k miles. The truck has gotten very hard to start no matter what the temp and seems to starve for fuel when the Bully Dog is turned up to extreme. Should get it sometime mid-week and will give updates after the install.

Anyone else on here running one or know someone who is?

Everyone I know who has the FASS is not pleased and the guys running the AIR DOGS are pretty satisfied.

While you are installing it are you going to be taking any pictures? If you are then post them up. I would be intreasted in how hard it is to install and how much it helped your rig.

I have the 95gph HPFP (made by the FASS people) and I always have good fuel pressure... WOT w/ chip on 5x5 never drops below 11 or 12 lbs.

I am running the FASS 150/150 and it works awesome. I know about ten or so other people that are also running the FASS and no problems with them. The one guy that I know of running an AIR DOG cant stand it and has nothing but problems with it. He said he is going to switch to a FASS.

It could just be the Ford he is having problems with and not the AIR DOG. HA HA.

This evening I got a chance to see an Air Dog on a friends truck. The bracket that is mounted to the frame and holds the filters had a cold weld on it and it had broke. It was pure luck that I had asked him about it and wanted to take a look at the set up. When we crawled under his truck we saw the filters sitting on a skid plate and the only thing keeping the whole shooting match there was the fuel lines. It must have been like that for a while because one of the filters had rubbed all the paint off of it.

    Update

I finally got the Air Dog delivered late Thursday evening. The kit came with everything needed for the install to be relatively easy. I mounted it outside the frame rail under the back door. It only tool about 3.5 hrs and was pretty straight forward. Did not even have to drop the tank to hook up the suction line. It is quieter than the stock pump and my truck starts right up every time. No more 10 second cranks. My truck did not smoke much before and now it smokes a little less. I also noticed more low end power and alot more high end. I does not seem as if it is starving with the chip on extreme. So far I am very pleased. Will try and post some pics later, my digital camera was on loan to a friend of my wife while doing the install.
