last week i was taking off from a stop sign when BAM my transmission popped and my four wheel drive shifter leaped. didnt have any problem after that running around town and coming home. couple hours later took off for work half way there it did it again, and periodicly the rest of the way to work. looked to me like it was trying to go into four wheel, so on the way home it was icy i put it into 4x4. the truck kept learching and the transfercase would pop every 8-12 seconds (i know cause i counted lol) but not as violent or as loud as in 2 wheel. i made it all the way home up to my driveway and it wouldnt move at all. put it into any gear and let the clutch out and it was a grind like ive never heard. the truck went back to the dealership, they tore it apart and like i figured it was there was something wrong with the shift forks in the transfercase. i didnt see the broken parts but they confirmed that was it. so i have to pay a $200 deductible for the warranty to cover it plus i have to pay the tow bills cause it wasnt moving on its own. and am still waiting to get my truck back, they said yesterday and i still havnt heard from them today. has anything like this happend to any of your guys (or gals) trucks?
$774 dollars later i have my truck back with a new shift fork, bearing kit, and all new seals and gaskets.
