My fan runs constantly. It shouldn't be doing that. Answers?

That could be cause by low coolant level or high oil temps. You may have a partially clogged oil cooler, Blown head gasket or leaky egr cooler.

    6.0 fan dilema

Fan spins from cold start until shut off. It's an electric clutch fan and shouldn't be spinning until CPU senses high temps then turns the fan on. Mine is on constantly. Your suggests are currently not my problems. Anyone else have suggests. It's an electrical/programming problem.???

Then you should be thinking about replacing the fan clutch or checking the wiring.

    Grille insert?

Do you have a grille inseert? I was having a similar problem and taking off my Lund grille insert fixed the problem. Now that the weather is cooling down I will put it back on.

Member 9bstock had problems with his fan locking up. Dealer re-flashed computer which seemed to have corrected his problem. Search his postings for more info. I'll update if it works for me. Rueben
