I was fortunate enough to just catch Mr. Buddenhagen while he was offering an ATS Diesel Arc Flow for sale. After striking up the deal with him he was kind enough to send it to me before I was really ready to take ownership of it. Well, a long story short I have now installed it onto my rig and have nothing but great things to say about it. First, I got online and found the installation instructions on the ATS Diesel web site. Installation was a breeze as Mr. Buddenhagen had included all hardware and gaskets. The whole process took about 30 minutes and that included finding the right tools for the job. After the install I took it out for a little spin and discovered right away that I had gained about 1/2 mile per gallon and my rig is now smoking a lot less than it had before. I also noticed a bit of a difference in power, especially while towing, with the added Arc Flow. Today I pulled my race car trailer up the mountain to a friends house and could not believe that not only was I able to hold the hills that I had not been able to before but I could also excelerate and even was able to pass a slower car. Now, I understand that this is in part because I have a few other upgrades done to the truck but, the addition of the Arc Flow from ATS Diesel really helped bring all the other upgrades together and made them work in harmony. As it stands now I believe that my rig is now getting about 22.5 to 23 mpg on the highway and about 21.5 here in town. While towing my race car trailer up the mountain I never had to down shift and the mileage was hanging around17.5 mpg. This is a mile per gallon increase over the old mileage empty.

Everything is now working so well together that I am going to need a new clutch here soon. Even with the Smarty Jr. in the towing mode I am able to over power the clutch with the truck empty. This was never a problem before the ATS Diesel Arc Flow. I wanted everyone to know just how great Mr. Buddenhagen was to deal with and I hope that I have more dealings with him in the futrue!

    Thanks again,
    LT.

Time for an update. On Wednesday I took my tow rig to Albuquerque and back to do some errands at The Sportsmans Wearhouse. I was driving at about 65 mph, which is below the posted speed limit of 75mph, and maintaining about 1800 rpm's. The trucks overhead computer was steadily going up after towing the race trailer up the mountain and on the way back the overhead hit 22.4 mpg. Now I know that the overhead seems to be a little on the conseretive side so I also hand figured it. With the over sized tires and figuring that into my equasions I came up with a high, at one point, of 24.6 mpg and averaged 24 mpg total on the trip. Now for all those doubting thomas' I will include the math. I started out with a full tank, and by full I filled the tank until the fuel was at the top of the fill neck, then I took off on my trip. When I got back I did the same by filling the truck until the fill neck was full. Took the total miles and divided it by the gallons used at voila! 24 mpg. At 210 miles I used under 9 gallons of fuel. This maybe a little scewed because on the way to Albuquerque it is all down hill and there was no wind at all. On the way back I had the wind at my back the whole way. But take it for what it is worth I cannot believe how much the ATS Diesel Arc Flow has really brought all the modifications together.
