What brand bedliners are you guys running in your trucks? I have seen a couple of trucks with RhinoLining and it looks like it is the best one out there. Is there anything better?

I am going to be looking to get a toolbox for my truck sometime soon. I also want to have a transfer tank for diesel in the bed. I know there are companies that sell them as one unit. I want the transfer tank to be below the toolbox to use up the least amount of space possible. Any leads?

    1. I have a plastic Pendaliner, it sucks. Rhino lining likes to chip from what I hear, Line X seems to have the best reputation.

    2. John Deere has a box with a tank like you are after, and for a decent price IIRC.

Line-X all the way, or maybe one of the knock-offs if you trust them. I have no use for Rhyno unless you just haul boxes, boards, that kind of stuff. I've seen significant damage caused by heavy steel stuff like axles and engines. Too soft an rubbery for that heavy use. Mine is Line-X.

On the tank, I prefer under the bottom aux or replacement tanks. Dodge stock is pretty darn decent at what, 35 gal? Not like the pathetic excuse that GM puts in, something like 24 gal IIRC? Mine now has around 60 under the bed in the stock location.

Yeah but the stupid guage isn't calibrated right and the "dinger and light" goes off with 9 gallons still in the tank....and I can't use much more than about 1, maybe two of the remaining nince because I'm too much of a nervous bird to drive around with the light on.rotfl

Ya, me too. The damn fuel light comes on at 1/4 tank most of the time and I won't run very long with the fuel light on. Also it didn't help that my buddy Rob warned me that if I run the CTD out of fuel it is a mofo to get started again. You have to bleed the fuel system and all the injectors. No thanks. I will just put some diesel in and call it a day.

Maybe that's why the Dodge starts nagging you at 1/4 tank? So that you never have to deal with that PIA, and then start hating them and the truck... ;) Then again, with an electric lift pump, priming is easy.

    Transfer Tank

Best money I spent on this truck. I have 90 gal. under a polished diamond plate aluminum tool box. 12v transfer pump is mounted on the frame rail under the bed. Toggle switch on the dash and I run 1500-1800 miles between fuel stops. When I stop, usually at Flyin J, I buy 100-120 gal. to fill up.

Get the Line-x I have a Rhino that came with the truck and it looks horrible!!! The edges werent trimmed straight and it has chunks missing all over the place. I would however take it over a plastic drop-in liner any daywaytogo

I may be the only one, but im a big fan of the thick rubber bed mats. Granted it doesnt protect the sides of the bed, but for me thats a non issue. They dont rattle like drop ins and arent permanent like spray ins. Plus none of my junk slides arround back there on it.
