GM for "best". Nice plush, good ergonims, but could stand improvement. Lots of cheap plastic, but appearance of "good quality" cheap plastic, if that makes sense. Also VERY quiet and no wind noise.

Dodge close second. Nicely proportioned and I was always comfortable in my Ram. But lots of visually "cheap" plastic, visible screws, that type of thing. All in all, I had no gripes. Dodge (mine and the 2nd Gens in my test drives) had noticeable wind noise above 60-70 or so. I hate that.

Ford was just wrong in every way for me. Wheel too small and too far away. Seats didn't "sit right", controls obscured and not in the "right" place. Probably just a bias from what I'm used to and adapting in a week or a few days would have solved it, but I just didn't like it and couldn't get comfortable even in the delux models. My son, and daughter made similar comments about the back seat. My wife liked it, but doesn't drive my truck anyway. <shrug>

The Ford did it for me, it feels open and roomy to me. I like the simple dashboard and the open floorboards. The Ford's power sliding rear window is supercool and should be a standard feature on EVERY crew cab pickup. The Ford's sunroof is awesome, not sure what Dodge offers but the GM has a goofy one that slides open and tilts up, really wierd looking. The Ford backseat is the best hands down, much roomier and has more comfortable seats than the GM.

The GM would be really nice in something like a Tahoe I suppose, but in a HD pickup truck just didn't seem to go right. I felt really cramped in it, the full center consoles just don't belong in pickups as far as I'm concerned. The seats were comfy, but so soft that I'd be afraid of wear issues down the road. I don't dig the liberal use of hard plastic in the GMs, but they've been like that for years. The GM climate controls and stereo are the best, hands down.

The Dodge lost right away because of the tiny backseat. I didn't really look at much else after I sat in the backseat and realized just how small it really is. I have a young son and will have another kid in the next couple of years, so being able to put a rear facing baby seat in the truck without having to adjust my seat up front is a big deal to me. The truck is the tow rig but is also going to be used on road trips since my commuter car is too small to pack all the stuff associated with a female and a baby.

Good points, I wanted a bench (hate the console) and I do love the climate controls. And of course the tiny back seat was a problem for me too. And I would rather have hard plastic that lasts (I hope it does) than the typical cracked soft plastics (vinyl).

For me it's a mix of all three....

I like the design of the seats in the GM's but the black leather in my '01 Dodge looks and feels a lot thicker and stronger than the leather in the GM's and Fords. My neighbor has an '04 Harley Edition SD with black leather interior and I think my leather seats are better than his. I do find that the GM seats are slightly more comfortable in my mom-in-law's '03 Tahoe vs. the leather seats in my Dodge. I like my office adition center console, it was a good idea by Dodge and leaves you with a place to do paperwork, store paperwork, and any "office" supplies that you would need.

The back seat, when important to the owner, is hands down not the dodge. For me I didn't care because very rarely do I have more than 1 passenger with me and besides, I always drive so I'm not the one that has to sit in the back. rotfl I have no idea which back seat is larger between the GM and Ford.

THe dash is simple for me, I like the dash in mt 2nd gen Dodge a lot better than anything else. The new Dodges have a squarish dash that I don't like, mine is nice, smooth, and curvey.

One thing I would like to mention is color options. I applaud Dodge for offering a black (or Charcoal as the dealer says but it's black anyway) leather option because neither Ford and GM were offering their interiors in black....as you have probably gathered I have a thing for black leather. rotfl ( You know what I mean, I hope :doah: ) Just recently have GM and Ford offered black as an option, it was about time.

I don't care for the Ford's interior except for how the door slopes down with the window, thats kinda cool. :)

For the sound systems I would not choose Dodge, I have the upgraded infinity system and am unimpressed. I have heard that the little tweeters in the A-pillars pop easy and I have already had problems with the factory deck playing the CD backwards and scanning the radio stations on it's own, but it quit.
