If you have an automatic (I think you have mentioned you do in past posts IIRC) your fuel line is not a problem, it's the rather small HY-35 turbo. You can't run the Comp on the higher settings without having to back out of it soon because of the turbo pushing up EGT's.

I've spent some time on the BD forums, while most of their products are pretty decent, I think they kind of reccommend stuff that is in the grey if a person actually needs it.

I have heard that the stock LP and fuel lines can flow enough fuel to support 350HP continously. Your comp on 5x5 would theoretically put you at 355HP. Unless you decide to swap your HY for an HX or an aftermarket turbo, I don't think the LP and lines will have a chance to limit fuel flow.

The second thing is your tranny (this could actually be your biggest problem before the small turbo depending on your driving habits, condition, etc).

A stock 47RE doesn't like more power than stock. Many people have wiped out their 47's with just an Edge EZ (about equal to your comp on level 2), a power level that the stock lines and LP have no problem supplying.

FWIW, I have the Scotty Smartfuel lines on my 3500 5 spd.....I am running a Comp with RV275's and can't drag WOT fuel pressure below 9 psi with a stock high-mileage lift pump no matter what.....that is double the WOT fuel pressure before the Smartfuel was installed. There is a big change in flow when you ditch those banjo bolts and use large high flowing JIC fittings. The Smartfuel kit allows you to move the point of the highest restriction in the fuel system from the banjo bolts to the VP44 instead. The VP now gets all the fuel the LP can deliver. I highly recommend the kit.

Hey!! I didn't know you were on this board! I have not seen you around DTR much lately.....

    You are a dealer for Scotty's stuff? That's cool....I didn't know that.

Try the Vulcan system. Larger lines and retain the stock pump. Great if you are still under the power train warranty.
Less than 1/2 hr to install. if the pump is good you should have over 10psi at WOT.

Never did like those smooth connectors and hose clamps on fuel lines even on gas motors. I use push loc connectors when and where ever I can. I also like the warranty from the push loc companies that if they are installed correctly...they will not leak.

One other thing I like about the Smartfuel over the Vulcan is the smooth radius 90 degree -8 JIC fittings. They promote laminar flow and with the push locks, you never have to mess with the hose or clamps again...... when you are servicing anything that requires that the fuel lines to be disconnected - you simply unscrew the JIC fitting from the custom adaptors and screw them back on when you are done......no fussing - I like that!:D
