Ahhhh!!! I miss my ctd! I borrowed a friends V10 Ram to tow my rig to the Fordyce Creek trail this weekend...Man, what a dissapointment. On the flats towing 8500lbs, I think it would have been slightly faster than the ctd, but on the hills it just chugged. 35mph up the hills I was doing 50+ on in the ctd. Truck is a '99 2500 V-10 4x4.The V-10 is now officially crossed off the list of motors to tow with as far as I'm concerned. On the good side, the thing sure was fun to drive around unloaded...
Not sure on the circumstances of you signing over the CTD to the ex GF but at least you still have your truggy
Long story short...She bought the ctd for me. And there isn't anything on this planet that would casue me to give up the truggy. Nothing. One of the few things I can call my own. You'd have to kill me first.
my first question is what rear end in the V10. Mine only drops under 30mph on a 10%+grade with 15000lbs but I've got the 4.10. I've heard the 3.55 just sucked with the V10.
I have no idea what ratio the truck has. I just had it for a couple days. I can say that there is no way this truck would have pulled 15klbs faster than 25mph up any decent grade. So maybe it does have the 3.55's. I'll have to ask my bud if he knows what it has.
