Anyone have a problem with their brakes locking up under hard braking? My truck wants to lock up and slide.( almost rearended 2 trucks in the rain yesterday). Not the first time either. It just happens in the rain.
The 99 I had a problem with the front calipers getting corroded and freezing up twice. I had the dealer replaced the calipers once with remans and turn the rotors but when the problem came back I bought aftermarket calipers pads, rotors and shoes for the rear. Then did the work myself to replace them.
I have locked up the rears on mine before... I just dismissed it as being a heavy truck w/ drum brakes and I try to make a habit of keeping a good distance between me and the guy in front of me. the ol' dodge aint gonna stop like a corvette.
