I have a new Brakesmart controller that I have not hooked up to the truck's brake system yet.

Will the unit still activate my horse trailer brakes satisfactorily? Just trying to get time to take the truck to the dealer, as I REFUSE to do any brake work myself even if it is only bleeding air from the line after hooking the controller's pressure sensor into the master cylinder line out.

    Thank you,

    Mike

No it will not activate your trailer brakes without the brake line pressure sensor. It uses the brake line pressure to tell how hard to apply the trailer brakes. There are no pendulums or accelerometers in the Brake Smart unit.
