I've had really good luck with the Hypertech Max Energy it was only $380 and gives a nice improvement to power and fuel mileage if you drive it right. The Smarty is a excellent programmer as well I just could not afford it at the time.
First, what do you want from that chip? Do you have a stick or auto? Do you want it to include gauges or are you wanting to install gauges separately? Are you planning to go to more power later on or do you just want a little wake up and thats it? Towing? How heavy? These are all the things I like to know before I recommend options.
subscribed,,, also have an '07 DRW 5.9 4x4 6 speed manual.. gauges would be nice.. needed mostly for a little more power while towing,,, It's not likely that I'm going to take it to the Drag's on Friday nights...rotfl
quad tow module. XZT or XZT+. you can pick them up on diesel sites for $100-$150. 65HP low egts, mpg gain, and gauges arent really needed (recommended but not needed). Smarty is by far the best of all around but its a little much for someone who just wants a little more power and the price is hard to swallow. Hell you can get the Quadzilla XZT+ and commander for hundreds less than the smarty and with the smarty you still have no gauges. The commander is nice because it is a stand alone gauge and can be uaed with any programmer and most other competitors modules.
