Ok I have a 96 F350 Crew cab, On my clutch where the shaft goes through the fire wall there is a black box with wires comming out of it. "Picture 1" it is wired directly to a key switch inside my glove box "picture 2" Does anyone know what the hell this is and why would it be hooked up to a key switch I am at a loss here I cannot figure it out.. I have switched the key off, and it does not appear to do anything, I ust want to know. So I can remove it. I takes up space in my glove box and is kind of annoying. Thanks Don

The first pic is of your clutch safety switch--truck shouldn't turn over unle the clutch pedal is depressed.
The second pic is probably some sort of vehicle anti-theft system-aftermarket.

Thanks, that makes sense. It probably is some kind of theft device set up on it.

it could be some sort of kill switch too, try letting it run and then turning that key in the GB
