Daytime running lights

    Is it just me or do the Chevy daytime running lights seems to burn out quite often, I see lots of them with just one on. :dunno:
    Anyway to disable those?

    You can turn them off on the new '05 trucks. I'm not sure about older models. I know you can turn off your auto headlights by poking the dome override switch a few times, so maybe that works with DRL too.

    I see one out from time to time also. I have not tried to disable them. If I can remember to try I will. Maby it is just that folks have no idea they are burnt out? After all you can't 'see' them during the day..???

    On my '04 you just turn the headlight switch to the left to turn them off. waytogo

    I yanked the fuse on mine :D

    Check the manual, there is a way to turn them off. Somethign about pushing the dome override button in some sequence or swithcing the lights on and off or osmething.

    Mine drivers side DRL kept going out too. I got sick of replacing it so I just took the passenger side bulb out too.

    Ensure the seal on the bulb is good there is a o-ring if water gets to the bulb it will affect the life.

    I was my truck 3 times a day or more due to job. I was going thru them one every 2 weeks.

    I repaced the connector and it solved the problem.
