As a vendor whose livliehood depends on the diesel aftermarket I was hoping you guys would give me some feedback. Are you putting off doing performance upgrades that you had planned on in favor of doing things to help with your fuel economy? Or are you parking your truck and giving up thinking it is just too expensive to drive? How about you RV'ers...Are you guys still planning on hitting the road this summer? Diesel here in Spokane is now around $4.30 a gallon and climbing. On the other hand we have more sled pulls scheduled this summer in WA than any previous summer that I can remember. How are the rising prices of fuel affecting the choices that you make in relation to your diesel truck? I personally have two of them and am grudgingly giving one up.
    Thanks in Advance.

I am in between trucks right now, but mileage upgrades are my main interests. Intake, exhaust and maybe a tuner. I am also research very heavily WVO conversions for what ever truck I get next.

Would a motor cycle pull my skidloader?rotfl I feel a pain in my wallet. I drove about 40,000 mi last year for my fencing bussines. I'm trying to be as conservative as I can, but to make any money, I still need to gert there.

Any upgrades I have planed are on hold for now. I might even buy a gas.:doah:

I'm not using the truck any less.

I'm done buying power upgrades for awhile.
Just replaced a vp44, added an Airdog and have injectors on the way.
After that I'm done for awhile...

I don't know if I need a 3500. 3/4 ton is good enough for most of what I do. I am looking at 04.5 to 05 dodges, mostly because they are what I can afford payment wise. Trying to save up a down payment.:stir:

    Truck

I have the overload springs off right now because it is a better ride that is the only difference between a 3500 and 2500 that I know of. Keep saving that dp.....

Were taking out the camper less and staying longer when we do go. Were planning two big trips this summer, were down to one becuase we can't afford the fuel costs. Try to drive the wifes car when we can. Upgrades have been hampered due to the price of fuel. Maybe I can make an upgrade when the stimulus checks comes out. 4 Inch exhaust and/or the 100hp injectors, Maybe...

I'm not driving mine any less (or anymore for that matter) than I have been in the last year. It's still my DD and will be until I get a company vehicle (Ford Taurus  here I come!!!) in the next few months. I simply refuse for the fuel prices to effect my way of life. If I want to go somewhere or buy something for the rig (provided I can afford it and it doesn't put a pinch in my wallet for things I HAVE to buy) then I do it. IMHO life's too short to let money rule the way you live.

That being said...I don't have too many big upgrades planned for the Dodge over the next few months to a year....most of my disposable income is going towards putting a new engine in the K5 and all the other goodies that go with that (new cooling, gauges, electrical upgrades, exhaust, etc.).
