I have 05 3500 DRW 2WD about to need tires cant seem to get any info on what tires to buy to replace the stock tires, Like to go bigger but dont want any rubbing I do tow heavy at times. Thanks for any info
Well, this is wide open to personal preferance. I have always run Michelins on my trucks. My current Dually has 161,400 on it now and the last time it was reshoed was at 91,345. I expect to get another 10k at least out of them. Mine are 235 x 85 x 16 LTX (MS). I rotate every 10k. Run 50 psi in the front and 55 psi in the rears. (Factory Recommended on door sticker) I always ran higher pressure in the rears in the past but never had very good mileage using the same tires. They would wear out in the middle first in the rear. There is one other higher mileage tire made by Michelin and thats the XPS RIB tire. My 96 Dodge 2500 ran 98,000 on them. This tire is not for snow. The XPS Traction is. I've never run them. Dave
tires I have the third set of tires on my 03 QC DRW 4WD. I now have 306457 miles, 1st set fact goodyears, directional tires that was a pain to roate. 2cd set goodyears that weren't directional, 3rd set firestone transforce HT. They are a whole bunch cheaper on the wallet and seem to get as much or better millage!! I haulcars and work the guts out of the Dodge !!
