    ok power modules to date;
superchips flashpaq - really like, never been a superchips fan until this bad boy came out. Internet interface, many different options, 137hp on the manual, and they have a secret "extreme" program that is supposed to be like the crazy larry, can't wait till that is available.

Quadzilla XZT - very healthy low end power, good milage, easy to install, (i sale them for $249) can't beat that!

Would also be nice to know the pros and cons of each, like can settings be changed on the fly, remove codes etc..

yes the superchip will read/remove trouble codes.
I would say cons to the quadzilla is the t-tap on the tps, with trucks equipped with power pedals it is somewhat of a bitch to get back up in there.
The other con would be the fact that the box is not weather proof so it mounts underneath the dash.
Cons of the superchip is that the extreme is not available nor will superchip give me an ETA. By the way if anybody nows how much timing the superchip gives I would really like to know.
    thanks
    Mike

With stock exhaust it still had some turbo lag although a lot better then stock. With the dual MBRP and Power tube it is a night and day difference but hey its still a single turbo. This new motor apsolutely comes alive at 2000rpm. It is like oh this is ok and then it hits 2 grand and your smoking the tires and swapping lanes! I love it but our short box already broke the clutch loose in third gear.

Seems like the dual exhaust wouldn't make that much differance because it is single from the motor to begin with, then only splits to dual at the very rear?
When you say power tube are you talking about intake?

MIKE, I HAVE A 2006 3500 MEGA CAB. I AM LOOKING INTO THE FLASHPLAQ FOR MY CUMMINS. JUST WONDERING, WHEN THE CLUTCH SLIPPED IN THIRD GEAR, WERE YOU IN THE TOW SAFE PROGRAM OR THE HIGHER ONE. I DID A LOT OF UPRGRADES TO MY 02 POWERSTROKE AND PAID FOR IT $$$$$$$$$$$$. AUTO TRANS.
I HAVE PUT THE COOL DUALS ON THE CUMMINS AND WOULD LIKE TO INSTALL THE FLASHPAQ, BUT DON'T WANT TO DAMAGE THE TRANNY. I PULL AN 11,000LB CAMPER IN THE MOUNTAINS SO ANY EXTRA POWER IS WELCOME. HOWEVER, NOT AT THE EXPENSE OF COSTLY REPAIRS.

OK need to clear this up. I have never slipped the clutch with the flashpaq, my brother is running the quadzilla XZT and that is the truck that slipped the tranny. I would tow 20,000lb gross weight with this set up and not worry about it. It all comes down to how you drive the truck, if your on the tow safe while towing you won't have any problems, if your running on the performance the only thing I would worry about is the dual mass flywheel. You have to realize that my brother and I are in the performance business, we test things to the max and are considered hard on stuff. When the clutch slipped he was doing a third gear launch which requires slipped the clutch, this build a ton of heat and when he hit the power band under full throttle it was to much. The truck is also a short box and I believe the weight is more evenly displaced over the rear axle as to not let the rear tires slip were as my long box just lights up the tires. You will be fine witht the superchip and stock clutch, just use common since and don't be idiots like us!

Did you go with the 4" or 5" MBRP, also did you go with the "Pro" or the "XP"? Also, how does it sound compared to stock, I have heard the 06's sound a little funky without the kitty.

I went with the cool duals which is a 4" cat back dual exhaust. The power tube sits right behind the cat. I am not a fan of removing the cat, way to loud and sounds like hell, if your not a racer there is no reason to remove your cat on the new trucks. The duals are actually louder then I though mbrp would be, I don't know if it has to do with the power tube or not. It is a really cool sound when it hits 2 grand I am just worried about towing. If I wanted a loud diesel I would have bought a fordrotfl

So the power tube is a replacement for the muffler?
Is the duals mainly for sound/looks? Seems like the single would be the same performance wise?

no the power tube works in conjunction with the muffler, it acts a lot like the areo turbine muffler as to help pull the exhaust out. Duals I would say are a lot for looks but do double your flow after the muffler.

That rig would look so good if it was completely debadged from front to back, and had about a 5" suspension lift with some 37" tires on it.
