Need some help from the pro's:pimp: . My EGT's are running 850 to 950 (pre-turbo) under normal excelleration and 1100 to 1300 under load pulling 8,500 lbs during excelleration up to speed. Then EGT's cool back to the 850-900 degrees under nornal running. Are these EGTs OK? First time using Pyrometer, and on my 6.0 PS i don't wont to lift a head or melt down a turbo. See equipiment running on my signature below.waytogo

Those egts are normal for the 6.0 When I am racing they can get to 1600 with a real aggressive tune in the truck.

Great. I've got my outlook set for 1250 degrees de-fuel setting, but don't have much fun when i want to play a little. I should be able to turn her up a little more so i don't get more de-fuel than fun and still be safe. Thanks stricklyv8. Would it help to drop a few degrees by shucking the cat?

Straight pipe your truck. The 6.0 doesn't get a NASTY DRONE when towing. It will drop the egts a bit.
