I just got a 96 F250 powerstroke. It has the Edge Evolution programmer with a 5" exhaust and cold air intake. I have the programmer set on L2-Race.

What should my EGT's be running or what would be a normal EGT temp for a stock PSD?

Kinda trying to get a good feel of where it should be cause when i drove it home last night it was right around 500-800 depending on wheither i was on the throttle pretty hard.

that sounds pretty normal to me.i believe 1250 degrees is max.i think you can run that for a while but thats close to to hot.that temp to long can melt them down, its ok for awhile, but i wouldnt run that temp to long.ive even haerd of peope goin to 1300 to 1400 but only for a short time, like racing or something.

you'll have a hard time keeping them egt's under 1k towing.1250-1300 is the limit.

I have a 96 F350 CC 4x4. I have always been told that 1200 is the max you should ever hit for any amounts of time. I think the most I ever got was 1175 running south up Raton pass out of Colorado. And at that time, the only mod to my truck was the supertuner which I had set for towing.
