I have a 99' 5-speed cummins with about 102,000 miles. The truck was at idle for about 10 minutes and I herd a warning tone. Next all of the warning lights came on and all of the gages went to zero along with the tack. Then the odometer displayed "No bu5." I quickly decided to drive the truck home and I noticed it would stumble frequently, it was really bad when coming up my driveway. I shut the truck off in the garage and restarted it. The gages registerd but then quickly went to zero. The "No bus" was displayed in the odometer again and the truck stumbled at idle. Has anyone ever experienced this problem, or have an idea of what this might be?

    ele problems

im having the same problem, the power loss seems be to around 2000 rpm in 3rd 4th or 5th gear.i was told i should look at the air heater, true or not true. sounds like from what ive been reading hear i should look at the crank sensor. my truck is a 2001 dodge 3500 24v 4wd with a 5 speed. i could use some help here.

    thanks

    power loss

check to see what code comes up,turn ur ignition switch to the on position 4 times and a code should come up.it will tell u if its the crank sensor which it sounds like.i replaced mines and my truck was running normal again
