Hmm, very interesting. I would be interested in trying it if it really works well and would bring down my 2,000RPM drone some, while not effecting the exterior sound.

Anyone one else think it looks like the inside of a Cat?? The Cat we all cut off. What happens when all that honeycomb gets clogged up with soot??

I'll keep my straight 5" pipes.

A little background first. I bought Diesel Power Products from Dave Meheen, the guy that invented the Turbo Air Guide and the Exhaust Guide. Dave came up with the exhaust guide when he was trying to figure out how to stop exhaust drone that was common on Banks exhaust systems, mostly in the Duramaxes. The bottom line is that they work and to my knowledge there has never been an issue with them clogging. I put a set of cat-back duals on my 05 Dodge with an Aeroturbine muffler and the drone on the interstate literally made you want pull your hair out. I cut in an exhaust guide between the cat and the Aeroturbine and it immediately solved the problem. Some trucks drone and some just don't, I put the same system in a customers truck and he had no issues whatsoever. If you don't have drone the exhaust guide isn't going to do much for you. I have had guys claim they saw lower egt's but I wasn't able to verify the claims.
